Walaika Choir
Mission Statement
Walaika Children's Choir of Trinity United Church of Christ strives to promote a spirit of love for our Savior, Jesus Christ.
"All thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children". Isaiah 54:13
With this approach our children will be taught, in an Afrocentric manner, to spread the message of faith and prayer through the praises of their heavenly voices.
Requirements
- Be 3 to 8 years of age
- Parent or guardian must be a member of Trinity United Church of Christ
- Must attend parent orientation on the fourth Saturday of the month during rehearsal
- Be potty trained
- Be able to talk/sing
- Show the utmost respect for the Choir Director, officers, sponsors, clergy and all adults in and around the Church
- Must attend at least four (4) rehearsals to sing for worship services. Two of these rehearsals must be the two Saturdays before they sing on Sunday.
- Respect their peers
- Have regular attendance at rehearsal
