The Men’s Chorus is a Christian organization and a church chorus whose sole purpose is to bring the message of the Gospel through the ministry of music! At all times we will strive to present ourselves as strong, positive African American men. We are “One choir, one voice.” We are “Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian.”

Key Ministry Activities

The Men’s Chorus can be found in the kitchen every 1st Sunday cooking and serving tasty and hearty meals after worship services. Proceeds from these meals are used to fund our travels and scholarships for members to attend church conferences as well as donations to Trinity UCC and outside ministries, and deserving church members.

We also prepare and serve refreshments for receptions following concerts of the Children’s, Women’s and Sanctuary Choirs.

Each year, on the Saturday before Father’s Day, the Men’s Chorus, along with the Prison Ministry, ministers to the youth at the Juvenile Detention Center, Chicago, Il.

Ministry History

Through the grace of God, the Men’s Chorus is celebrating 25 years of existence. The Men’s Chorus started as an outgrowth of a group of men in the congregation who came together in October, of 1983 at the request of Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr., to sing during Men’s Week. A handful of men ministered during that historic week. As a result, under the direction of the late Dr. Jeffery P. Radford, the Minister of Music, and his father, the late Deacon William Radford, a new ministry known as the Men’s Chorus was officially.

Over the years, the Men’s Chorus has grown by leaps and bounds, not only in numbers, but spiritually as well. The Men’s Chorus has become “One voice, one choir.”  We are truly “Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian.”
