Mission Statement

Our mission in the Counseling Ministry is to facilitate wholeness through caring and healing of souls. As professional counselors, we believe our unified efforts are mandated through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. “When there is no guidance, a nation falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.” Proverbs 11:14 NRSV

Purpose of Ministry

The purpose of the Counseling Ministry shall be to provide Bible based, short term, individual and group counseling, consultation and training to those seeking help in coping with stresses, strains, doubts, fears and pain they experience.

The activities shall be designed to enhance the overall vision and further the mission of the Church and grounded in the Black Value System. Therefore, be sensitive to the needs of the Church by offering our skills and expertise without charge to the members and friends of the Trinity family and to the community to carry on God’s work.

The services rendered by the Counseling Ministry shall be to:

• Provide screening, assessment and referral services to individuals and families who seek counseling assistance.
• Provide short term, Bible-based, counseling services to individuals and families.
• Provide guidance, consultation, and training services.
• Provide pre-marital counseling and education.
• Provide spiritual, emotional, and professional support to members of the Counseling Ministry.
